Tanahun, 23 July- The District Traffic Police Office, Tanahu, has stated that it has collected 13.4 million rupees in various vehicle operations in the last fiscal year. The affected vehicles include motorcycles, cars, jeeps, buses and tractors. Chief of the District Traffic Police Office, Tanahun, Resham Ranabhat informed that 21,150 different vehicles were impounded.
A total of 741 vehicles have been impounded for driving under the influence of alcohol and Rs 741,129 has been collected from the action. A total of 5,261 tippers and trucks have been impounded for violating traffic rules, raising Rs 3,111,154 for violating such traffic rules. 4,411 actions have been taken against jeeps and buses, 2,627,000 actions have been taken against those who modified motorcycles and 4,288 actions have been taken against them, out of which 589,500 revenue has been collected. A total of 585,000 revenue has been collected from 808 vehicles such as tractors, taxis and magic vehicles violating the rules of the road. 21,000 revenue has been collected from those vehicles.
During the last fiscal year, 21,150 vehicles have been impounded. There have been 64 accidents in different parts of the district in the last one year and 44 people have been killed in accidents in different parts of the district. Among them, 67 were seriously injured and 89 were harmed with normal injury. A total of 168,500 revenue has been collected during the lockdown period, 13,200 vehicles have been impounded, six people have lost their lives and 32 others have been seriously injured, said District Traffic Police Office, Tanahun Police Chief Resham Ranabhat.
