Proton Nepal is the Nepalese operation of PROTON, a Malaysian automobile manufacturer, with Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd. serving as its authorised distributor in Nepal. The brand has been expanding its presence in Nepal, particularly in the electric-vehicle segment, with the Proton e.MAS 7 launched in 2025 and the e.MAS 5 introduced in 2026. The e.MAS 5 is positioned as a compact electric SUV for urban and everyday use, while the e.MAS 7 targets the larger premium EV-SUV segment. Proton’s strategy in Nepal focuses on EV technology, safety, competitive pricing and expanding nationwide sales, service and charging support.
